Hook: Hanak wet fly hook
Body: hare's ear dubbing
Hackle: Partridge
Tie in the partidge feather with the tip. Wind the thread to the back of the hook and dub a thin body. It is easy to overdue it. Sparse is better.
Same applies for the hackle: Two turns, not more. The hackle should suggest movements. If you overdue it, there is less movement and the fly can swim. It is supposed to sink, though.
If jus see fish taking flies, but you can't get it on a dry fly, trie a pattern like this. I don't fish wet flies a lot, but don't leave to a trip without carrying a couple of those in size 12.
