Body: Squirrel / Rubber leg dubbing
Tie in some lead wire, then spilt the thread and put the right amount of dubbing into it. Spin the dubbing loop around the body and you are done.
You should fish flies like these with confidence. On the one hand you are fishing a bit smaller than a big Wooly bugger, on the other hand the fly is still very visible due to the signal colour.
Of course I am not suggesting, that simple flies like these work better than the beautiful flat wings and shrimp flies people are tying. But I am honestly of the opinion, that simple flies are not working worse than their complicated counter parts.
By the way, this fish was my first east German chromer. The picture still puts a smile on my face.
