Hook: Gamakatsu F314 size 8
Tail: Black Marabou
Body: Hare's ear / rubbe rleg dubbing
This Wooly Bugger variant has two disctinct advantages:
1. It is such a quick tie: Tie in the marabou as a tail, abaut the shank length looks best. After that split the thread or do a dubbing loop. Put the dubbing in there and twist around the body and you are done. But down forget to put a little bit of lead wire in there first. I think I tie a Wooly Bugger like this in about half the time of the classic variant.
2. Inner movement. The rubber legs are giving such a valuable micro movement in the water. This is especially important if you have a follower. Strip faster and faster, but if that doesn't work, stop for 2 seconds. Then set a strip strike and thank me.
The sea trout in this picture was caught by my personal sea trout hero and close friend Jesper. On the classic variant, but I am sure the sea trout wouldn't have minded to trie the new school one. These little critters have an open mind. Something we humans could learn from.
