Hook: Hanak Nymph Hook
Body: Mohair Yarn
Bead: Tungsten
In this simplest of all nymph designs I use thread of a similar colour to the mohair yarn. Just tie the yarn to the shank and wind a body to taste. I prefer slim, but you could also choose to tie a body of a higher BMI. Fish don't discriminate. Catch the yarn at the bead and tie off. That's it.
You can tie a whole box in no time and can impress your friends with a tidy little minimalistic nymph box. Especially in small sizes the fly looks super neat.
I caught my first adriatic grayling on this pattern in Slovenia. Little nymph, little fish in this case, but big fun.
