Hook: Hanak jig hook 14
Bead: 3mm slotted tungsten
Fibres: Pheasant tail
Ripping: Copper wire
Tie in the wire first, and the attach 6 fibres to the hook shank with three wraps. Then wind the thread forward to the bead. Wind the fibres around the shank and secure with the ribbing afterwards. Done.
Pheasant tail in nymphs is a proven fish catching material for almost a century and will never go out of style. I have some great memories throwing these into streams and lakes far up north, but also fishing these beautiful streams in Southern Denmark, which hold a big amount of grayling 15 years ago.
If we are brutally honest to ourselves this is the only nymph you need.
