Jig Streamer

This is a tie inspired by a pattern I found at Polishquills.com. For the hook I chose a Hanak size 10 hook with a 4mm bead. The tail is black marabou, which gives tons of movement. The dubbing I got from my sponsor Max.

First I thought combining hare's ear and rubber legs is a rather stupid idea. After a night sleeping over it I quickly realized, that not the idea, but rather me was stupid.

Tying big buggy nymphs and streamers like this is now a matter of very few minutes. I know some rocks in Slovenia and some banks in Austria, where big fish hide. With a long nymphing rod like the one I built it should be possible to jig one of these beasts out of their cover. And if this happens, I will send Max a bottle of wine.

I am fully aware that this pattern is controversial and it is also not my first choice. But if the rain comes and water is high, you can either pity yourself or throw things like this. Yehaaw!
